Vrijdag 26 februari: opening Paramaribo Span

The main component of the Paramaribo SPAN project is an exhibition of contemporary art opening on Friday 26 February, 2010, and running until 14 March. A version of the exhibition will run later in the year at TENT Rotterdam (en dit laatste zinnetje zorgt ervoor dat ik 22 februari voor 8 dagen naar Suriname vertrek).
"...the main exhibition space is the garden and villa behind De Surinaamsche Bank’s landmark building on Henck Arron Straat in Paramaribo, but artists’ projects will also be shown at other venues and in public locations around in the city. Paramaribo SPAN features works by more then twenty Surinamese artists and several Dutch artists who have participated in the ArtRoPa exchange.."

Museumnight @ TENT.: GO HOME – a six hour performance

During the museumnight on March 6th 2010, TENT.Rotterdam is the Authentic Boys’ territory. Here, they will stage their 6 hour performance GO HOME; a political training ground with punkrocking ministers, underground freedom fighters and a treehouse full of hooligans.

With GO HOME, the Authentic Boys fade away the borders between the public and private domain; they explore the homey elements of election campaigns and the activistic aspects of staying home. During 6 hours, 15 performers will protest, convince, squat, eat and sleep in the conventional and unconventional spaces of the gallery.

Couch potato no more!

Here we go again... van nieuwe initiatieven tot hernieuwde initiatieven.

Deze week natuurlijk een bruisend Rotterdam vanwege IFFR met alle films, feestjes (Schouwburg, LV, Hotel Central) en talkshows (de Unie Late Night).

Verder vanaf woensdag ART Rotterdam, daarnaast 100 uur film programma bij Witte de With, op donderdag de Art Rotterdam Night bij TENT., zaterdag organiseert BAD een event, organiseert Het Wilde Weten de WILDE BOEKEN MARKT en er is de opening van een nieuw project space genaamd SILS, op zuid.
